About Me
My name is Gabriel Miranda. I am an undergraduate student at the University of Arkansas pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science with a concentration in cybersecurity and a minor in General Business. I am expected to graduate in May 2025.
I am currently working as an IT Technician for the Housing Department of the University of Arkansas. My responsibilities include help desk support, equipment maintenance and repairs, and cable management. Previously, I worked as a Desktop Support Technician at the University of Southern Indiana, where I handled help desk support, hardware repairs, auditing, and device maintenance and patching.
Additionally, I worked as a practician at an information security company during high school, where I began learning basic concepts about cybersecurity. This experience sparked my interest in the field and led me to obtain certifications such as ISC2 Certified Cybersecurity and ESET Certified Technician. I am actively pursuing additional certifications to further prepare myself for the industry.
Throughout my college career, I have learned several programming languages, including C#, C++, Java, and Python. I have also gained experience in web development using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, which I used to create this website. My skill set includes database management with SQL and PHP for website-database connections. Additionally, I am familiar with Kali Linux and its various tools.
In my free time, I enjoy scripting to automate tasks, playing video games, and working out. I’m passionate about learning new programming languages, tackling cybersecurity challenges, and working on personal projects. I'm excited about future opportunities in cybersecurity and computer science, and I'm committed to using my skills to make a meaningful impact. Feel free to reach out if you’d like to connect or learn more about my work!
